Small Business and Entrepreneurship
Small business and entrepreneurship drive Arizona’s success as a leading hub for innovation; they also provide a ladder of opportunity for Arizonans across the state.
The Office of Strategic Initiatives implements the Governor’s vision for Arizona small business and entrepreneurs by expanding access to capital, fully leveraging procurement and supply chain opportunities, and building an ecosystem that supports entrepreneurs, new start-ups and legacy retail businesses alike.
Whether in a research lab or main street café, Governor Hobbs’ vision of an Arizona for Everyone means opportunities for entrepreneurs and small businesses in every community across the state. Small business support and resources mean every Arizona has an opportunity to launch a new idea, earn a living, and contribute to Arizona’s dynamic and growing economy.
Key initiatives include a suite of small business programs at the Arizona Commerce Authority, from its Small Business Bootcamp and Small Business Academy, as well as connecting Arizona entrepreneurs to a range of capital products through the Arizona State Small Business Credit Initiative and the newly launched Microbusiness Loan Fund at the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity, in partnership with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and non-profit community lending partners across the state.
