Future Economy AZ

Arizona has long been at the cutting edge of technology and innovation — for manufacturing, but also prototyping, testing, and launch. The state’s leadership extends from early breakthroughs in aerospace to more recent advancements in genomics and autonomous vehicles. Today, Arizona is home to the country’s most robust semiconductor ecosystem, set to make the world’s most advanced chips and reshore this critical industry, central to other technologies such as artificial intelligence and biotech. These technologies critical for our future national and economic security also mean good jobs for Arizonans and a robust tech ecosystem and localized supply chain for decades to come.

At the direction of Governor Hobbs, Office of Strategic Initiatives is working to anticipate coming technological advancements by identifying priority focus areas and working with leaders in the private sector, academia, and beyond to compile a list of actions, policy recommendations, and overall strategy to advance Arizona’s position in the future economy.
